Sportsmans 25 Festival of Live Music

The heyday of live pub-rock entertainment will be recalled once again in July as Kielys of Mount Merrion stage the second leg of their Sportsmans 25 Festival.

After a highly successful opening weekend in June which saw over 2,000 people pass through the doors, the highlight this month will be the appearance of the Bogey Boys on Friday, 22nd July. The R&B trio led by Jimmy Smith are reforming for the event to play their first gig together in over ten years. For the occasion they will be backed by an extended line-up rumoured to include James Delaney of the Alias B on keyboards.

After leading over 450 dancing punters through two and a half hour of furious rock and roll in June, Full Circle return to fill the Saturday slot, giving those that missed out a second chance. Likewise, expect the crowds to grow on Sunday evening as the word spreads around the Stepaside faithful of the band's storming return last month. As last time, as ever, Stepaside will be playing before the sun goes down, in a 6-9 p.m. set.
